Product Description

Pato Paper Sledge Armchair is a stackable armchair with a shell in PaperShell – a fossil-free, 100% bio-based cellulose composite moulded in Sweden. Frame in solid steel wire, chrome-plated or powder-coated, with replaceable gliders. An elegant and durable design that extends the Pato series with a circular, tactile material and added comfort from integrated armrests.

Materials

Stacking chair.
Shell made of Papershell cellulose composite. A material completely free of fossil carbon and a 100% biogenic. Moulded in Sweden.
Frame of steel tube chromed or powder coated.
Mounted with interchangeable plastic glides.
Suitable for outdoor use when frame is powder coated.

Stackable: 25 pcs on trolley, 18 pcs on floor.

PaperShell is produced from FSC-certified craft paper and impregnated with a bio-based binder. It is sourced entirely from biological residues from Nordic forestry and agricultural industries, reflecting a commitment to eco-friendly innovation.
It is 100% bio-based, 100% fossil-free, and, when circulated correctly, has the potential to become carbon-negative.
When correctly processed via pyrolysis, PaperShell can return to the earth as high-grade biochar, a carbon-rich substance that captures CO2 and promotes soil regeneration. This makes it potentially carbon-negative at the end of life. Currently, PaperShell supplies biochar to plant nurseries, where it is used to enhance soil quality and plant growth.
